Some days just end up getting away from you and it can become very difficult to eat as you normally would and get in enough food. For situations like this, having some simple snack ideas that you can whip up quickly can help you to still get enough calories in.
This smoothie is something I used to make often. It doesn’t take a lot of time to make and it has peanut butter in it so it tastes great.
Peanut butter – 1 tablespoon
Double cream yoghurt – 100g
Milk to top off
Slice the banana into small chunks and add it, along with the other ingredients, into a blender/smoothie maker. Only add enough milk to get to your desired consistency.
This smoothie will be upwards of 350 calories depending on how generous you are with the peanut butter.
*You can add a scoop of chocolate/vanilla whey protein to bump up the protein content.
